Mother's Day at the Zoo

We are thinking of heading up to the Cleveland zoo for Mother's Day. Moms get in free (same at columbus) on Mother's Day. It's been a loooooong time since I've been to the Cleveland zoo. Does anyone have an recommendations/comments? We went to the Columbus zoo last year and I wasn't too impressed. Alot of walking space between the animals and half of the animals weren't even there. What zoo doesn't have giraffes??

We also have a COSI membership so I was thinking we could swing by the science center too and of course eat out!!
